Luxury wedding at Chateau Bon Repos

An original, luxury wedding at the Bon Repos mansion was planned during uncertain times, just when spring had started – though we were all the more delighted once it took place – we thought of it as a sign of better days to come and new beginnings ahead of us.

We planned the wedding using our “FIVE SENSES WEDDING” TM concept, in which we consider all the senses: making your wedding a unique & one-of-a-kind experience. We put a lot of thought into this concept, not only from an organizational perspective but also making sure to focus on the wedding program. I was fortunate enough to have a brilliant team of roughly 50 people that helped me realize this wedding; I led & coordinated this team for a total of four days.

A mix of both modern and classic features is what caught the eye on first sight. This wedding was truly original: using an unconventional colour palette combining traditional lilac pink with a hint of gold and contemporary anthracite.

We used some stylish materials for the wedding invitations, including luxury printing techniques – hand-written letter covers made of velvet using technologies such as letterpress and dry embossing for the best results. We also came up with an original & tailored wedding logo. For this, we used elegant calligraphy with a floral background pattern which was also used as a cover for the envelope inserts. We printed this floral motif onto some fabric and made some custom cushions – and used this same floral fabric as the background for the sweet bar and reception.

A handcrafted folder for the wedding vows and a box with the logo for the rings were a few touches of luxury, as well as the specially printed materials to complement the look and feel of the event.

The bride and her bridesmaids enjoyed the getting ready time.

The wedding ceremony took place in front of the mansion. We used the same floral arrangements and colour palette to ensure a consistent experience; we hung the flowers on golden frames, it felt spacious and grand! The chairs were from the same collection as the ones that were at the banquet.

The banquet took place in a Chinese pavilion, it was decorated with beautiful and exotic frescoes –we made sure the colours of the wedding decorations matched those of the frescoes. The tables were set with a soft velvet tablecloth and decorated with printed materials – both are materials smooth & pleasant to the touch. Everything just worked– the gold & black acrylic name tags, cut glass, gold-black silverware, as well as a brilliant set of white-gold porcelain. The wedding table was made perfect by the luxury white-gold chairs and a combination of high and low floral arrangements – a hall perfumed with the scent of flowers, and as if that wasn’t enough – delicious food ensued; the hall smelt fantastic!

The wedding party was held outside, under cover of a tent – this is where the band played and where the guests could come and relax. We decorated this area with some stylish furniture and lots of catering carts, all matching the chosen colour palette. Catering prepared a wide selection of bites for the guests to enjoy. Each cart carried a certain style of food, such as Italian or Czech food, including salads and appetizers. Outside the tent was an Ofyr grill, where they grilled unbelievably tasty meats and vegetables.

Oh, we’re not done yet: we included a designer bar serving signature cocktails, a special corner with rolled ice cream & mixed drinks, an assortment of desserts in the sweet bar and a pretty Prosecco-van: more than enough to keep guests entertained!

We paid special attention to the music and entertainment side of things – the fifth sense being the sense of hearing – a sense no less important than the others. We put a lot of effort into assembling a great band setup with professional laser lighting, high-quality sound systems, costumes, and a great repertoire. A high-quality sound system is a must – the sound quality gave the whole outside area a new dimension. We created some short sound-snippets with the DJ that supported the narrative of this special day and made the atmosphere complete. The evening continued: the groom wished for the magician ‘Nedvěd‘ to come and show off his „trapnomagic“ skills (humorous, awkward magic) – everyone had a blast!

The final highlight of the evening was a fire show that wrapped up this eventful day, though truth be told: the party did continue– the newly-weds and guests dancing & celebrating long into the night!
